Man fatally shot in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux parking lot: police

Police say a 42-year-old man was shot and killed in a parking lot in Dollard-des-Ormeaux late Tuesday afternoon.
The SPVM confirmed having received several calls around 5:50 p.m. regarding shots fired. They say a man was shot in the parking lot of a shopping centre near Sources Boulevard and Brunswick Boulevard.
SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin said paramedical services attended the scene and found the victim with an upper-body injury.
The victims name is reportedly Stevens Cantave, an alleged Montreal street gang member, police say.
According to initial information obtained by the SPVM, the victim was struck while he was in a vehicle in the parking lot.
The suspect or suspects allegedly fled in a vehicle before police arrived, said Drouin.
The SPVM has not made any arrests.
