Complete closure of the Papineau-Leblanc bridge and part of Highway 19 this weekend

By News Staff

The Papineau-Leblanc bridge and a portion of Highway 19 will be completely closed from Friday night until Monday morning due to construction.

The work will begin as of 10 p.m. and reopenings will be at 4:30 a.m. on Feb. 12.

The closure will include Highway 19 southbound between the 440 (Jean-Noël-Lavoie) and Henri-Bourrassa Blvd.

The access to Saint-Martin Blvd. will be open.

Northbound Highway 19 will be closed between Henri-Bourassa Blvd. and de la Concorde Blvd.

For travel between Montreal and Laval, drivers can take the Médéric-Martin bridge (A-15) or the Pie-IX bridge (R-125).

The Ministry recommends that drivers should prepare for a longer travel time if they’re coming to the area because congestion is to be expected.

The work could be postponed, extended, or cancelled due to weather conditions or operational constraints.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signage.

Transport Ministry suggests consulting Québec 511 before you head out on the road.
