Helicopter crashes in Montérégie, no injuries

A helicopter crashed Tuesday in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, in Montérégie.

The aircraft landed in a field between Highway 35 and Chemin de la Grande Ligne, near Carignan. 

According to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu police, the pilot was a man from Carignan who was alone on board and suffered no injuries. 

Hydro-Québec confirmed that the helicopter hit wires while crashing, which caused a power outage that affected around 200 homes.
