La Fontaine tunnel closing Friday into Saturday

More road closures coming for Montreal-area drivers.

Highway 25 towards Montreal’s South Shore, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, will be closed overnight March 1 to 2, due to construction.

The closure will start Friday at 11 p.m. and will end Saturday at 8 a.m.

Highway 25 going towards the South Shore will be closed between exit 5 – R-138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street, and the entrance from the Charron Island.

Souligny Ave. eastbound, between Dickson Street and Honoré-Beaugrand Street, will be closed 30 minutes before the complete closure of the highway.

The work could be postponed to overnight Saturday into Sunday if the weather is bad the night before.
