Daylight Saving fast forwards last call for alcohol to 2 a.m. this weekend

Weekend revelers consuming alcoholic beverages will be cut off an hour early on Saturday evening into Sunday morning due to the start of Daylight Saving Time.

Quebecers are gearing up to move their clocks forward by one hour at 2 a.m. on the morning of March 10.

Bars and restaurants will stop serving drinks containing alcohol at the time of the jump, since 2 a.m. will be 3 a.m. ET.

Establishments and merrymakers will recover the lost hour in the fall when the province returns to Eastern Standard Time (EST).
