Don’t forget to set your clock one hour forward on Sunday at 2 a.m. as daylight saving time is here.

CityNews speaks with some people in downtown Montreal to see what they think of the yearly time jump.

“Being a traveler that just left a country that has daylight savings, going to another country, two countries that have different daylight savings, if I didn’t have my smartphone it would be a challenge,” said one individual.

“It should always be the same time. It will be easier like that than it is for the kid too,” said one Montreal father.

“I don’t mind. I’m retired,” said one Montrealer.

“This way the days are longer. We need some sun to enjoy,” said another Montrealer.

While one called the time change, “annoying.”

“They should scrap it.”

“We are from Mexico and we don’t use it and we are pretty happy without it because before in the past it was really hard for the circadian rhythm so I really hate saving time so I’m really happy without it in Mexico,” said one tourist.

“I hope everyone gets the same,” she added.
