Pedestrian hit by a car in Rosemont

A 59-year-old man was hit by a car on Sunday in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.

It happened around 7:25 p.m. at the corner of Saint-Michel Blvd. and Masson Street.

According to Montreal police (SPVM), the pedestrian was crossing the intersection when he was hit by a van.

The driver, a 40-year-old woman, was traveling on Masson Street, and tried to turn onto Saint-Michel Blvd. when the incident happened.

The man was unconscious when police arrived, but regained consciousness before being transported to the hospital.

His life is not considered to be in danger, authorities say.

The driver did not suffer any physical injuries.
