Quebec unveils a new education dashboard

By The Canadian Press

Education Minister Bernard Drainville presented a new platform for school data in Quebec.

In a press release, Drainville said that this new dashboard will give people in the network access to “relevant and reliable information at the right time.”

He suggests that this data will also help make the Education Ministry “more efficient.”

The dashboard includes nine categories, like the number of students enrolled, graduation rates, results of the Secondary IV and V ministerial exams and positions to left to fill in the network.

Another statistic that will be closely monitored is the air quality in schools.

As for air quality, 92.6 per cent of classrooms were in the desirable CO2 concentration range in December.

Current statistics show that high school graduation and qualification rates are 84.2 per cent in 2022-2023, an increase of 0.1 per cent compared to the previous year.

In addition, there were 1,094 job openings in the education sector, according to data collected in mid-January.
