Highway 520 overpass construction to resume Monday

Work to rebuild the overpass on Highway 520 (Côte-de-Liesse) over Hickmore Street is scheduled to resume Monday.

The work is expected to last through most of the year.

It’s the second phase of reconstruction, with the overpass being demolished then rebuilt.

Starting Monday, there will be a complete closure of Highway 520 eastbound between exit 5 (Hickmore Street and the next entrance), as well as Highway 520 westbound between exit 5 (Hickmore Street and Montée de Liesse).

During the closure, traffic will be diverted onto service roads.

The entrance ramp from Merizzi Street to the Highway 520 East service road will also not be accessible during the construction work.

Detours will be marked by signage, and higher levels of traffic are to be expected.
