Quebec City police investigate attempted murder

By The Canadian Press

Quebec City police (SPVQ) are investigating an attempted murder that seems to have occurred in a home, but the victim was found on the street.

Shortly after midnight, a man called 911 to report that he had just found a 32-year-old man bleeding on Saint-David Avenue on Friday.

The man who called 911 brought the victim into his car until first responders arrived.

When emergency services arrived, the victim, who was in a “semi-conscious” state, was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police say they are still looking for a suspect.

However, the initial information gathered indicates that it was “not a random act.”

A security perimeter has been set up at the location where the victim was found, while a second has been set up at the residence where the attack is believed to have occurred.
