Two suspects appeared by videoconference at the Laval courthouse Saturday afternoon in connection with shots fired at a residence on des Nénuphars Street in the Sainte-Dorothée district in Laval.

Two men were arrested Friday night by Laval police and the major crimes division of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

“On the night of April 13, around midnight, the two suspects allegedly fired a shot at a residence on rue des Nénuphars, in Laval, before fleeing in a vehicle,” said SQ spokesperson Stéphane Tremblay. “They were quickly located and arrested by officers from the Laval police department.”

The SQ specifies that no one was injured during the incident. Officers allegedly seized a firearm that was in the vehicle used by the suspects.

Eighteen-year-olds Bonyad Gulam Ali and Adam Hamouchi, both from Laval, face charges of discharging a firearm. They remain in custody.
