Construction materials allegedly stolen near pro-Palestinian encampment at UQAM

Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating after construction materials were allegedly stolen near the Pro-Palestinian encampment at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

The construction site is located on Sherbrooke Street and St-Urbain in downtown Montreal.

SPVM officers are conducting field work and viewing surveillance camera footage to determine what may have been stolen and how many people were involved.

“We’re working on it to see if we can identify anyone involved,” said SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is currently ongoing.
