Co-founder of Sutton-Québec pleads guilty to arson attacks against other brokers

By News Staff

The former president and co-founder of real estate firm Sutton-Québec was sentenced to five years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to arson and conspiracy charges.

Christophe Folla pled guilty to ordering nine arson attacks – by fire or explosion – against buildings housing other brokers between 2017 and 2022 in St-Sauveur and Ste-Thérèse

Two of the damaged buildings were a Royal Lepage-Humania office and a REMAX Bonjour office in St-Sauveur.

In some cases, Folla, who conspired with two co-accused, was reportedly targeting the offices of former business partners who left Sutton.

He reportedly insisted the fires be set when the buildings were not occupied.

Folla co-founded Sutton-Québec in 1995.
