Mix of rain and snow on New Year’s Day in Montreal

Montrealers woke up to a snowy and wet New Year’s day.

Rain turned into snow as the temperature hovered near freezing, and precipitation continued throughout the day. 

Snow is expected to continue into Thursday with wind gusts up to 60 km per hour. A high of minus one and dropping to minus five at night.

Friday is expected to be mainly cloudy with temperatures continuing to drop, with a high of minus five and low of minus 11.
