2 injured in 50-car pile-up on Highway 10 on South Shore

Two people were reportedly injured in a 50-car pile-up on Highway 10 on Montreal’s South Shore Thursday afternoon.

Québec 511, which shares information on road and traffic conditions, indicated several vehicles were involved and emergency personnel were at the scene in Sainte-Angèle-de-Monnoir, about 45 kilometres southeast of Montreal.

Highway 10 eastbound was closed for several hours; it reopened around 4 p.m.

The incident reportedly began around 12:45 p.m. when a truck driver lost control of the vehicle, and it ended up blocking the highway.
