Small plane crashes in a field in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, no injuries

A small Cessna aircraft crashed into a field in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, on Montreal’s South Shore on Thursday afternoon. No injuries were reported, according to Longueuil Police (SPAL).

The plane crashed at around 3:30 p.m. in a field between Highway 30 and Rang des Vingt-Cinq Est, said SPAL spokesperson Mélanie Mercille.

Autoroute 30 was not closed, but police were asking motorists to avoid the area.

In an update at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, the SPAL indicated that traffic was now free in the area.
