Man found seriously injured and unconscious in vehicle in Montreal

A 39-year-old man was found seriously injured in a vehicle on Friday evening in the Saint-Léonard borough of Montreal.

The police were called around 4:45 p.m. to Jean-Rivard Street, near the intersection with Jean-Nicolet Street, explained the spokesperson for Montreal Police (SPVM), Marianne Allaire Morin.

When they arrived at the scene, they located the victim, sitting unconscious in a vehicle and “injured in the upper body by a sharp object.”

The man was taken care of by Urgences-santé and transported to hospital in critical condition.

The circumstances surrounding this event were still unknown at the beginning of the evening. The scene was protected and investigators were on their way to try to shed light on the causes and circumstances of the event.
