Man dies after being found unconscious on ski slope in Mont-Tremblant

A man died after being found unconscious at a ski resort in Mont-Tremblant on Tuesday afternoon, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reported.

According to the provincial police, officers from the MRC des Laurentides’ north police station were called to a ski resort shortly after noon to report a person found unconscious on the ground near a tree on a ski slope.

A doctor pronounced the man, in his 40s, dead at the scene, and his body was taken to a hospital, the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reported.

Police officers were on the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of his death. A coroner has also been notified.

The SQ noted that it is still too early to determine whether this was an accident or a sudden illness.
