69-year-old man injured after home invasion in Laval

A man was injured after suspects broke into his Laval home on Sunday night.

Around 3:20 a.m., Laval Police received 911 calls about a home invasion on Michel-Gamelin Street, near Montée Monette, in Vimont.

“A 69-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were awakened by noises inside their home, as suspects had entered the home,” said Erika Landry, Laval Police spokesperson.

“At the time of the incident, the man sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries,” she added.

Police are now conducting checks in the area.

The investigation has been transferred to the Crimes Against Persons Unit, investigators along with forensic technicians will analyze the scene.

No arrests have been made so far.
