17-year-old assaulted with a weapon in Montreal’s Plateau

Montreal police (SPVM) say a 17-year-old boy was injured by a sharp object at the intersection of D’Iberville and Marie-Anne streets, Tuesday evening.
Upon arrival, officers found the teenager with an injury to his lower body. The young man, still conscious, was taken to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Initial investigations suggest the teenager was injured during a confrontation involving several people. All suspects had fled the scene before police arrived.
Police have interviewed witnesses and are searching for nearby surveillance footage to help clarify what happened.
The investigation is ongoing.
