Child dies after found unconscious in bathtub in Montmagny

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating the death of a child found unresponsive in a bathtub in Montmagny, on the south shore of Quebec City.
Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. Resuscitation was attempted, and the child was eventually transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Investigators from the SQ’s Major Crimes Investigation Division and a technician from the Forensic Identification Service have been assigned to the case.
The coroner has been notified of this incident.
