"I want people to feel inspired," says Raphael La Ferrara, Montreal magician and content creator ready to WOW the crowd at his upcoming ‘Rockstar Magic’ show. The 20-year-old hopes to motivate through magic. Pamela Pagano reports.

“When people come [to the show],” said Montreal magician and content creator, Raphael La Ferrara. “They feel like a rock star.”

CityNews first introduced you to La Ferrara back in 2022, and on Friday the 20-year-old with over six million followers on social media is putting together the biggest local magic show in the city called “Rockstar Magic.”

“It’s not just about the magic trick itself, it’s about the story behind each routine,” he said. “And each routine inside the show makes you feel a certain emotion.”

“Perseverance” is the show’s theme and La Ferrara is ready to bring the audience of all ages through a journey.

From the shy 8-year-old who discovered his love for magic — to the rockstar Raphael’s become.

And he won’t be on the stage alone.

“There’s also the incredible FJ Star,” he explained. “She’s an amazing up-and-coming singer from Montreal.”

“There’s also going to be DJ LV turning the whole venue into a full-on party,” he added.

L’Académie de danse de Montréal will also rock the stage — with over 45 background dancers in the show.

MC DIONY$IO$ is also set to be engaging the crowd, ensuring everyone’s having a good time.

La Ferrara’s last show at the Leonardo da Vinci Centre back in November was sold out.

This time, he’s taking on a bigger theatre at the same venue in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard.

Over 500 people will have the chance to be WOW-ed on April 18th.

Tickets are available at the Leonardo da Vinci Centre website.

“Chasing your dreams, being fearless and overcoming any obstacles,” said La Ferrara. “It really connects with people.”

“It relates to people,” he added. “That’s what makes ‘Rockstar Magic’ so special.”
