We all met here about two hours ago and are ready for the big game tonight,” one fan said. “After Game 3, we’re pretty pumped up and ready to do our part tonight to help the Canadiens win. And I think we’re going to tie the series up tonight.”

A young woman shared her excitement: “Oh, we’re so excited. We just took the plane this morning from New Brunswick and can’t wait to be at the game tonight,” she said. “Everybody’s so happy and can’t wait to see that game and the Habs going to win tonight!”

One family from Toronto talked about how they’re feeling: “A little nervous, you know. The building’s going to be rocking. If they win, it’s going to be huge, but yeah, a little nervous,” one fan said.

“We made the drive from Toronto. It wasn’t too bad, maybe five and a half hours. But we’ve been here since Friday and watched the game out here. It was an electric atmosphere. And now we’re excited for tonight. Me and my girlfriend are going to the building. It’s going to be amazing. I want to see Caufield score a goal tonight,” he added. “I want to see a Xhekaj fight too.”

Fafa Khan adds extra energy to Game 4

Montreal DJ and producer Fafa Khan will bring even more excitement to the game with a live performance at the Bell Centre.

After a successful year that saw her perform at big festivals like îLESONIQ last summer and Montréal en Lumière this winter, Khan continues to grow in the Canadian music scene. Known for mixing hip-hop, Latin, and EDM styles, she’s become one of the most popular DJs in the country.

Khan talked about her excitement for the upcoming game and her role in the event: “I will be doing the intermissions, so I DJ the intermissions. Usually, we do the warm-up as well, but for this time, it’s playoffs. I’ll be doing a hype, hype set for both intermissions,” Khan shared.

“I’ve been DJing for the Canadiens for a while now. I would say more, maybe four years now. I can’t remember exactly how, but I am such a big room DJ and high energy. I’ve done festivals like ÎLESONIQ, and I’m doing the Festival d’Été de Québec. So, they kind of know me for the high energy and big room style. I think that’s why they reached out to me. I’ve been doing shows for all the big companies and brands in the city. So, I’m glad to represent Montreal like that.”

Khan also talked about what it means to be part of the Habs’ playoff games, saying, “It honestly means the world to me, and I’ve been doing it for so long that I’m just proud to be a Habs fan since the beginning, since I was little too. So, to be actually in the arena with you guys is honestly one of my biggest accomplishments to date.”

She ended her message with a shoutout to Habs fans: “Allez les Habs, go Habs go. I love you guys. I’ll see you out there.”

Georges Laraque weighs in on the energy around the Habs

Former Canadiens player Georges Laraque says the energy in Montreal is at an all-time high, especially considering the team’s turnaround this season.

“With the year that they’ve had and the fact that in November they were at the bottom of the standings, it’s like a miracle,” Laraque shared. “No one expected this team to make this miracle run at the end of the season and to make the playoffs. Just that is a victory on its own.”

Laraque went on to talk about the excitement surrounding the Canadiens.

“A team that is rebuilding right now and gets into the playoffs gets the whole city excited — not just about being in the playoffs, but for the future,” he said. “Now you know that with the young core talent that you have, you have a playoff team for years to come, so it’s very exciting for everyone.”

Laraque also spoke about the infectious energy throughout the city.

“The energy is insane,” he said. “Playoff hockey here is always like that. The weather is starting to be nice, and you know people are putting flags in their cars and stuff, and there are parties everywhere.

“People are so excited. It’s amazing because they’ve been waiting a long time to get this — to get a playoff team. People were so patient with the rebuilding phase. It’s the first time ever that Montreal did a rebuilding phase where people were patient. They were waiting to see how long it was going to take.”

He also pointed to key additions like Ivan Demidov from the KHL as important for the team’s success. “Everything happened at the perfect time,” Laraque said.

Puck drop Sunday is at 6:30 p.m. on Sportsnet.
