Everyone knows the playoff hockey atmosphere in Montreal is unlike any other.
And while the heart of the action – during home games, at least – is the Bell Centre, the Montreal Canadiens are offering fans an alternate way to get in on the fun.
The team unveiled a list of three official watch parties for the first-round series against the Washington Capitals.
Espace 1909
All games – home and away – during the first round of the playoffs will be shown at Espace 1909, next to the Bell Centre. They’re offering an all-you-can eat spread with live entertainment, including team mascot Youppi! There is reserved indoor seating, with tickets starting at $53.
Fan Jam
Starting three hours before puck drop for each home game during the first round, fans are invited to a “fan jam” outside the Bell Centre. There will be live shows, a DJ, tattoos, a barber, and mascots. It’s free to attend. Participants will have the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the game live.
Casino
A watch party is being held at the Montreal Casino for Game 1 and Game 2 of the first-round series. There will be a DJ. It’s free to attend, and there will be some $10,000 in prizes to be won. Capacity is 600 people.
