A frost advisory is in effect for the Montreal area despite the sunshine the city is experiencing.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, temperatures will drop below the freezing mark overnight Wednesday.
“Frost may damage frost-sensitive fruit trees and vegetable plants,” the weather agency wrote.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
“Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees,” they added.
Come Thursday, increasing cloudiness in the morning with a high of 14°C.
Showers are expected to fall at night, with a low of 12°C.
To end the work week, showers on Friday but the mercury climbing to 19°C.
Then the temperature dropping slightly on Saturday, with a high of 14°C and clouds filling the sky.
Sunday seeing a mix of sun and clouds — a high of 15°C.
Then, for now, those sun and clouds are expected to stay for Monday.
