Residents of Rosemère, Lorraine, and Bois-des-Filion, in the Laurentians, remain under a precautionary boil water advisory on Thursday morning that has been in effect since Tuesday night.
“The Town of Rosemère is informing its residents that they must immediately boil their tap water for one minute before consuming it, until further notice,” the Town of Rosemère stated in a press release.
This advisory applies to all residents of the town.
The towns of Lorraine and Bois-des-Filion are also affected by this boil water advisory, as they receive their water from the Rosemère plant.
“This precautionary advisory is necessary due to a power outage that affected the IT equipment at the drinking water treatment plant,” the Town of Rosemère said.
A new message will be sent to the public as soon as this precautionary advisory is lifted, they explained.
To stay informed of the situation, residents can monitor the town’s communication platforms.
