By CityNews Staff

Another weekend in Montreal means another set of road closures, according to Transport Quebec.

The latest road closure, which will begin Friday night, will be along Highway 136 and will affect the Ville-Marie tunnel.

The latest closure is to allow for repair work to be done on elevated structures along Highway 136 between Greene Avenue and the entrance to the Ville-Marie tunnel.

The highway will be closed for westbound traffic between Exit No5 (A-10 / R-112 / R.-Bourassa Blvd. / Champlain Bridge / Victoria Bridge) and the entrance from du Fort Street.

The closures will begin at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, and the road will reopen 5 a.m. on Monday.

During this time, a detour will be in place along Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, Highway 10 (Bonaventure) eastbound, exit No4 and Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard to the entrance to Highway 15 northbound.

Drivers should expect congestion during the closure and should plan their drives accordingly.

Transport Quebec notes Highway 136 is expected to close three more times before the end of June.
