Multiple road closures for Montreal this weekend

Mobilité Montréal informs road users that “major disruptions” are expected this weekend, recommending that people plan their trips.

HONORÉ-MERCIER BRIDGE / ROUTE 138
Saturday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
- Between Montreal and Kahnawake, traffic in the opposite direction on the upstream bridge (towards the South Shore) – 1 lane in each direction
LaSalle Boulevard: According to the same schedule, closure of the boulevard under the structures of the Honoré-Mercier Bridge, between Trésor-Caché and Lafleur avenues. Detour via Airlie Street.
Note: Access from Airlie Street to Hwy. 138 West remains open.

VILLE-MARIE TUNNEL / ROUTE 136
Friday 11:59 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
- In Montreal, complete closure of the Hwy. 136 West in the tunnel, between exit 5 (Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, Samuel-De Champlain Bridge) and the access from du Fort Street
Detour: in exit 5, via Saint-Jacques Street to Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, A-10 East (Bonaventure) and Exit 4 to A-15 North / Turcot Interchange.
By default: the access from rue Lucien-L’Allier.
Detour: via Saint-Antoine Street West and Guy Street North and René-Lévesque Boulevard West. Trucks: via Guy Street South, Saint-Jacques Street and de la Montagne Street and René-Lévesque Boulevard West.
Area to avoid: Significant risk of congestion – plan your travels.


HIGHWAY 25 / LOUIS-HIPPOLYTE-LA FONTAINE TUNNEL
Direction SOUTH
Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday 9 a.m.

- Complete closure of the tunnel between Exit 5 (Sherbrooke Street) in Montreal and the R-132 in Longueuil
Detour: via Hochelaga, Dickson Street South and Notre-Dame Street, René-Lévesque Boulevard and Papineau Avenue / Jacques Cartier Bridge. Trucks (+ 4.25 m), via de l’Assomption Boulevard, Sherbrooke Street and Pie-IX Boulevard South.
By default: 30 minutes before, the entrances to Sherbrooke, Tellier and des Futaille streets.
Souligny Avenue: Closure of the avenue eastbound, between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets. Detour: via Dickson Street North and Hochelaga Street East or West.
NORTH DIRECTION
Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday 9 a.m.
- Complete closure of the tunnel between exit 90 (R-132) on the A-20 west in Longueuil and the Hochelaga Street access in Montreal
Detour: via Hwy. 132 West, exit 82 / Jacques-Cartier Bridge, downtown exit towards De Lorimier Avenue South and Notre-Dame Street. Trucks, via Pie-IX Boulevard and Sherbrooke Street.
Default: 30 minutes before

- The access ramps to the R-132 east and west (exits 89-N).
Detour eastbound: U-turn at exit 137 (De Montarville Boulevard). - Access from rue de l’Île-Charron
Detour: via A-25 south and R-132 west. - Channeling of the access to Île Charron from the Marie-Victorin Boulevard accesses to the A-25 north.
- The access ramps to the R-132 east and west (exits 89-N).

LAVIOLETTE BRIDGE / HIGHWAY 55
Friday 8 p.m. to Monday 6:30 a.m.
- On the Laviolette Bridge, between Trois-Rivières and Bécancour, closure of 2 lanes out of 4 – one lane in each direction.
Track width: 3.2 m.

- In Bécancour, on the A-55 south, exit 176 (A-30, R-132, Sainte-Angèle, Bécancour) and the A-30 east and west / Godefroy Avenue accesses to A-55 north

Highway 30 — Serge Marcil Bridge
- In Beauharnois, on the A-30 East in the Madeleine-Parent Bridge sector, partial closure of 2 lanes out of 3, Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
RÉSEAU EXPRESS MÉTROPOLITAIN – REM
- New phase of commissioning, complete closure of the network, every Saturday and Sunday in May.

REMINDER – BONAVENTURE EXPRESSWAY
- Peel Basin / Victoria Bridge level, closure of 1 out of 3 lanes in each direction until December
- On the Clément bridge, traffic in the opposite direction – 1 lane in each direction – until December.
- Eastbound, closure of exit 5 (Nuns’ Island) until the beginning of June.
