A man visiting the Outaouais region will remember his trip for a long time to come, as he came away a millionaire.
Jonathan Robert Anderson won $2.2 million at the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau on Friday, a place he has visited in the past.
He won $2,211,553 playing the Monte Carlo slot machine.
“When he saw the amount displayed on the slot machine, he couldn’t believe his eyes. The attendants, happy to validate such a win, were quickly able to confirm that he had become a millionaire,” said Loto-Québec in a press release announcing the news.
“As soon as he realised what was happening, Mr Anderson called his wife and parents to tell them the news. A crowd also gathered near the machine and warmly applauded the lucky winner,” the press release said.
Thanks to his $2.2 million win, Jonathan Robert Anderson is considering buying a bigger house, but he insists he won’t be quitting his job.
