Many reached for sweaters over sunglasses as June arrived with chilly weather, but will the rest of the week bring summer warmth?
Well Tuesday is! Mainly sunny skies can be seen over Montreal today with a daytime high of 27°C — feeling more like 28°C with the humidex.
More sunshine on the way for Wednesday — with even more heat.
Tomorrow will feel like 36°C with the humidex, clear skies t night with a low of 21°C.
A 40 per cent chance of showers then in the forecast for Thursday, cloudy and a high of 28°C.
Increasing cloudiness and a high of 25°C for Friday.
Come Saturday, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) predicting periods of rain with a daytime high of 22°C.
Many Quebec cities received more rain than usual in May, and June 1 broke cold records in several regions.
In the town of Parent, near La Tuque, temperatures reached 7.7°C on Sunday, the previous record was set at 8°C in 1986.
New cold records were also set in Drummondville who saw 11°C, Saint-Nicéphore also at 11°C, Sorel-Tracy at 11.9°C, and Sutton at 12°C.
As of now, periods of rain will also trickle into Sunday with a high of 21°C.
