16-year-old boy stabbed in Montreal’s east end

Montreal police say a 16-year-old boy is in hospital after a stabbing in Pointe-aux-Trembles in the city’s east end.

Multiple 911 calls were made at 10:45 p.m. about the incident in a commercial parking lot on Saint-Jean Baptiste Boulevard near René-Lévesque Street.

The teen was found with upper body injuries. He was sent to a hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Montreal police say according to their initial investigation, the incident seems to be a conflict between several teenagers that would have escalated.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
