‘Everything suggests it is an arson’: Montreal police investigate vehicle fire in Saint-Leonard

By News Staff

A vehicle was engulfed in flames overnight Wednesday in Montreal’s Saint-Leonard borough.

Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at around 12:30 a.m. about a vehicle on fire that was parked in the driveway of a home on Lisieux Street near Jean-Talon Street.

“The burned vehicle is a total loss,” said Véronique Dubuc, a SPVM spokesperson. “There’s no damage to the property nearby, we didn’t find any incendiary object.”

“We don’t know the cause,” she added. “Everything suggests it is an arson.”
