Police investigating after 18-year-old stabbed in Montreal

A 18-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in Montreal’s Ville-Marie borough on Tuesday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at around 11:30 p.m. about a person injured during an altercation near Atateken Street and de Maisonneuve Boulevard.

“That man is out of danger at the hospital,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, a spokesperson with the SPVM. “As soon as his condition will be better, investigators will go meet with him to get more information on this event.”

The teen was found with upper body injuries when police arrived to the scene, he was then transported to hospital.

“At this moment we don’t have any arrests,” said Brabant. “Investigation is underway on the Montreal police department side.”
