Two motorcyclists in their 50s died on Saturday morning after crashing off the road in Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, in Montérégie.
Emergency services were called shortly after 11:30 a.m. to Highway 15 North regarding a crash involving a motorcycle.
According to initial reports, the two individuals were riding a Spyder motorcycle. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a construction zone on the right side of the road.
The man and woman were ejected from the vehicle during the skid. They were then transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
According to provincial police (SQ) spokesperson Camille Savoie, “water accumulation on the road may have been a contributing factor.”
