4 tornadoes recorded in Quebec this past June

Four tornadoes were confirmed in Quebec this past June using satellite imagery.

According to TVA, images captured winds reaching up to 190 km/h which caused extensive damage from June 19 to 23.

Quebec tornadoes in June

  • June 19, 2025:
    At 5:25 p.m., in Saint-Évariste-de-Forsyth, Chaudière-Appalaches, winds of 145 km/h were measured over a distance of 7.26 km.
  • June 23, 2025:
    At around 5:00 p.m., at Lac de la Tête in La Tuque, winds at about 145 km/h caused damage over a distance of 2.57 km.
  • June 23, 2025:
    Around 5:00 p.m. on the same day, near Lac Brécourt, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, winds of 190 km/h hit about 10.6 km of the area.
  • June 23, 2025:
    Also on the same day, at 9:35 p.m., a tornado struck Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, with winds of 145 km/h over 1.75 km.
