3 teens facing armed robbery and assault charges: SPVM

Montreal police (SPVM) say three teens are facing charges in connection with separate armed robbery and assault incidents between early August and early September – in the boroughs of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

The reports indicated that five people were victimized during three separate incidents — one on Aug. 1, one on Aug. 8, and one on Sept. 3.

SPVM say that during the incidents, the teens threatened the victim with a knife in an attempt to get personal property or money.

Through an investigation, police were able to identify three 15-year-olds believed to be connected to the armed robberies and took them into custody, between Sept. 4 and 15.

All three are facing charges, including robbery and armed assault, and have since been released on conditions.

They appeared in Youth Court and were released on bail.

Anyone with information that could help advance an investigation is asked by SPVM to contact 911 or their local police station. Information can also be provided anonymously to Info-Crime Montreal by calling 514-393-1133 or visiting their website.
