Authorities are still looking for five suspects, including three who are believed to be living outside Canada, as part of the major police operation that targeted organized crime in Quebec on June 12.
The police operation – a joint investigation between Montreal and the Sûreté du Québec called Project Alliance – targeted prominent members of three crime factions in the province: the Italian mafia, Hells Angels and street gangs.
It led to the high-profile arrest of Leonardo Rizzuto, 56, the alleged head of the Italian mafia in Montreal. Rizzuto was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the 2011 death of Lorenzo Lopresti.
Rizzuto and his alleged co-leader, Stefano Sollecito, were among 11 suspects arrested that morning. It was the culmination of a three-year police investigation.
Police say five suspects remain wanted: Sacha Krolik, Pierry Philogène, Mario Sollecito, Gianpietro Tiberio, and Jean-Ismel Zéphir.
Krolik, 57, is wanted for first-degree murder and conspiracy in connection with an incident that occurred in 2011. He is currently believed to be outside the country. He is 1.68 m tall, weighs 77 kg, has brown eyes and gray hair.
Philogène, 39, is wanted for first-degree murder in connection with an incident that occurred in 2021. He was seen in the West Vancouver, B.C., area on Sept. 22. He is 1.85 m tall, weighs 113 kg, has brown eyes and black hair. He wears blue or green contact lenses.
Sollecito, 54, is wanted for first-degree murder and conspiracy in connection with an incident that occurred in 2011. He is believed to be currently outside the country. He is 1.75 m tall, weighs 80 kg, and has brown eyes and hair.
Tiberio, 52, is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with an incident that occurred in 2012. He is believed to be in Quebec or Ontario. He is 1.80 m tall, weighs 110 kg, has brown eyes and gray hair.
Zéphir, 49, is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with an incident that occurred in 2012. He is currently believed to be outside the country. He is 1.75 m tall, weighs 91 kg, has brown eyes and black hair. He has two distinctive tattoos: “Kraz Brizz” on his right arm and “Lion Zion” on his right shoulder blade.
Philogène and Tiberio were added to the list of Quebec’s most wanted fugitives in August.
