Quebec nursing exam success rate continues to soar

The success rate for the Quebec nursing exam continues to improve in the province.

According to the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) the pass rate for the nursing admission exam held on Sept. 18 was 88 per cent.

That represent 2,287 new nurses that will soon be joining the healthcare system across the province.

The nursing entrance exam was revised after the number of failures skyrocketed in 2022 and 2023, dropping to just over 50 per cent.

The success rates have now increased from 63 per cent in September 2023 to 94.6 per cent in Sept. 2024, and now 88 per cent in 2025.
