Pedestrian in stable condition after being struck by a vehicle in LaSalle

A 43-year-old pedestrian is in stable condition after being struck by a vehicle Monday night in the LaSalle borough of Montreal.
According to Montreal Police (SPVM) spokesperson Florence Stafford, the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Newman Blvd. and Lise Street.
Initial reports suggest the 75-year-old driver was travelling south on Lise Street and struck the pedestrian while attempting to turn west onto Newman Blvd.
The pedestrian, who was conscious when emergency services arrived, was transported to a hospital in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly uninjured.
A security perimeter has been erected to protect the scene and allow investigators from the collision investigation unit to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident.
