REM to ring in the New Year with overnight service

The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) will operate without interruption on New Year’s Eve, providing overnight service from Dec. 31 into Jan. 1 across the entire network between Brossard and Deux-Montagnes.

Operator Pulsar says the special schedule is aimed at giving riders a safe and convenient way to travel throughout the night as they ring in the new year. Regular fares will apply.

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) also announced Monday that the metro services will be extended on the night of Dec. 31, 2025, to Jan. 1, 2026.

Pulsar also reminds passengers that REM service will be suspended on Dec. 27 and 28 to allow for technical testing ahead of the planned opening of the Anse-à-l’Orme branch in spring 2026. Alternative transportation options will be in place on both days.

More information is available at REM.info and through trip-planning apps such as Chrono, Transit and Google Maps.
