SAAQclic technical problems: ‘residual issues’ remain with online appointment booking

Quebec’s auto insurance board (SAAQ) says while some “residual issues” remain to the technical problems affecting online appointment booking, the impact on customers is “minimal.”
An SAAQ spokesperson tells CityNews the measures implemented Wednesday to fix the technical issues are “yielding results.”
“We are seeing an improvement in the situation and are continuing to work with our external partner to resolve the problem permanently,” said Simon-Pierre Poulin.
The auto insurance board says it detected the issue last week, and certain appointment time slots were closed “to prevent errors.”
The SAAQ says it is not seeing an increase in the volume of customer service calls requesting assistance with booking appointments, and there are no additional wait times.
“Yesterday (Wednesday), 77 per cent of customers served at our service centres had an appointment, a rate comparable to normal,” Poulin said.
