Fatal shooting behind Kahnawake restaurant: Peacekeepers and SQ investigate

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers and Sûreté du Québec (SQ) are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon behind a restaurant on the Mohawk territory – west of Montreal.
The incident happened at 2:32 p.m. behind Robbie’s Smokehouse, authorities said.
The 41-year-old victim has been identified as Kyle Chad Grabowski. He is said to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
According to security camera footage and witnesses the victim was leaving Robbie’s Smokehouse when he was attacked by two suspects who fled the scene in a red Honda Civic.
Shortly after the vehicle was located in Chateauguay, on fire. A firearm was also located nearby.
The SQ’s major crimes unit is assisting with the investigation.
Peacekeepers are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information to contact investigators at (450) 632-6505.
