New warming trailer on Notre-Dame Street East

The city of Montreal, the health and social services network, and the organization L’Anonyme unveiled a new warming trailer located on Notre-Dame Street East Wednesday.

The site includes chairs to stay out of the cold, warm beverages, and water.

The trailer will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight for daytime hours, but closed from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for cleaning purposes. Overnight hours will be from midnight to 6 a.m.

There are signs on-site indicating that they will not be responsible for any thefts or loss, and that all objects left without supervision for more than a 60-minute period will be thrown away for security purposes.

There are also posters citing code of conduct information, such as zero violence, insults or threats. Armed or dangerous objects are not permitted, the consumption of alcohol or drugs inside the facility is prohibited, and selling or exchanging substances is not allowed.

Another trailer is also available with bathroom facilities.
