Quebec City man faces firearms charges after road rage incident

A 52-year-old Quebec City man was arrested Friday after police say he pointed what appeared to be a firearm at another driver during a road rage incident. 

Quebec police said there were no injuries.

The incident occurred in the Beauport sector of Quebec City shortly before 3:25 p.m. 

Officers later intercepted the suspect in Charlesbourg and arrested the man. 

Quebec police said an air gun resembling a firearm was found inside the vehicle. 

According to the Quebec police press release, the man was taken into custody for pointing a firearm, carrying a weapon with dangerous intent, and uttering threats.
