A 35-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Montreal overnight.

Montreal police (SPVM) say they received multiple 911 calls shortly before 3:00 a.m. reporting a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle near the intersection of René-Lévesque and Saint-Laurent Boulevards.

When officers arrived, they found the woman lying unconscious on the ground with injuries to her upper body. She was taken to hospital in critical condition.
