Montreal’s legendary Peel Pub set to re-open 8 months after closing

The Peel Pub on Peel Street is set to reopen with new investors, nine months after closing its doors.

The pub will reportedly open in time of St. Patrick’s Day, March 17.

The popular downtown bar which opened in 1962 closed last June after bankruptcy.

In a Facebook post, one of the new owners Tony Fewkes announced the bar’s re-opening and a job fair to hire staff.

“With an inspired diverse and modern menu within keeping of the traditional original Peel Pub and 24 carefully chosen draft beers on tap we aim to please everyone that walks through the doors from day one and to keep them coming back for more!”

The pub is holding a hiring event Monday and Tuesday.
