Service resumes on REM after freezing rain halt

Service on the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) has resumed after being interrupted early Thursday due to weather conditions linked to an ice storm.
At 5:10 a.m., the transit network announced a service interruption between the Brossard and Gare Centrale stations.
The REM said the disruption is caused by weather conditions and that the time for service resumption is currently undetermined.
At 8:55 a.m., REM officials confirmed a gradual service resumption underway across entire network
At 9:51 a.m., REM confirmed on X that normal services have restarted.
Flights affected due to icy weather
As of Thursday, Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), continues to experience significant disruptions following a severe ice storm that began Wednesday.
More than one-third (roughly 184) of all scheduled flights were cancelled Wednesday. While some services are resuming today, dozens of flights remain cancelled this morning.
