Two men stabbed in downtown Montreal altercation

Two men were injured in a knife attack in downtown Montreal early Saturday, and the suspect remains at large.
Montreal police say they received a 911 call around 2:15 a.m. reporting the incident on Peel Street near Sainte-Catherine Street.
The victims, aged 34 and 48, were found on the sidewalk with stab wounds to the upper body. They were transported to hospital, where their lives are not in danger.
Police say the altercation began inside a nearby business before moving outside onto the street.
The circumstances leading up to the confrontation remain unclear. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
