April 1 marks the return of parking restrictions in Montreal

A reminder to motorists that April 1 marks the return of seasonal parking restrictions in Montreal.

Street parking limitations are in effect between April 1 and Dec. 1 in most boroughs. They allow workers to carry out street cleaning.

Schedules vary depending on where you are located, so look out for white no parking signs which indicate which side of the street motorists are allowed to park on a given day.

Motorists who don’t follow parking signs can be fined, and those tickets are now $100. That’s a 3 per cent increase compared to last year.
