Deadlines to take down temporary car shelters approaching in Montreal

It’s that time of the year again! After new traffic rules, it’s time for the temporary car shelters to come down soon.

According to the City’s rules, the deadline for removing tempos is fast-approaching.

Failing to remove the shelters could result in a fine ranging from $250 to $1,000.

For most boroughs, the last day to have the tempo is April 15. Here are the details:

April 15:

  • Ahuntsic-Cartierville
  • Anjou  
  • Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce
  • Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève
  • Lachine
  • Montreal-North
  • Pierrefonds-Roxboro
  • Plateau-Mont-Royal
  • Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles
  • Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie
  • Sud-Ouest
  • Ville-Marie
  • Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension

April 30:

  • Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
  • Saint-Léonard

May 1:

  • Verdun (Nun’s Island doesn’t allow temporary shelters)

Note that the boroughs of La Salle, Outremont and Saint-Laurent do not allow tempos to be installed.
